Returns New Zealand Orders
We are happy to accept return on all full priced items within 14 days of dispatch if they are in a new and saleable condition. This excludes accessories, slides, jewellery, and sale items.
Returned items must be:
Unused, unaltered, and unwashed, in original packaging with all tags attached and free from fluff and hair.
The Goodnight Society reserves the right to refuse a return or refund if these requirements are not met, except as required by Consumer Guarantee Act 1993.
Exchanges & Refunds
- We cannot exchange an item for one of higher value—instead, you’ll need to place a new order. We will refund the original item’s price (excluding shipping costs if applicable).
- If the exchanged item is of lower value, we will refund the difference.
- Exchanges are subject to availability at the time we process your return.
- We allow one exchange per order number. If you need to exchange an item again, we will process a refund instead.
Returns International Orders
You can return your full priced item(s) for a refund of the purchased price (excluding postage) provided they are in new and saleable condition. This excludes accessories, slides, jewellery, and sale items.
Returned items must be:
Unused, unaltered, and unwashed, in original packaging with all tags attached and free from fluff and hair.
The Goodnight Society reserves the right to refuse a return or refund if these requirements are not met, except as required by Consumer Guarantee Act 1993.
We are unable to provide an exchange or replacements on international orders.
The cost incurred for the return shipping of the item(s) to The Goodnight Society is the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty or incorrect.

Returns Sale & Bundles
All sale purchases and items purchased in bundles are deemed final and will not be accepted for return or exchange. All discounts will not be applied retrospectively.
Returns Gift with Purchase
You can return any items in your order for an exchange, following our returns policy (see NZ orders, international orders, bundles, and gift with purchase).
However, if you choose to return items for a refund, you must also return the gift with purchase. If you decide to keep the gift, we will deduct its value from your refund amount.
Faulty Items
In the unlikely event that you receive a faulty item, please contact us within 7 days at hello@thegoodnightsociety.co.nz with:
- A description of the fault
- Your order number and name
- Clear photographs of the issue
If you experience a fault due to wear and tear, please also contact us at hello@thegoodnightsociety.co.nz with the same details.
All faulty or wear-and-tear claims must be for items purchased online at www.thegoodnightsociety.co.nz within the last 30 days.
Shipping charges (if applicable) are non-refundable, unless the original item was incorrect or faulty.
Cancelling or Changes to orders
Please make sure your order is correct. We are unable to cancel or make any changes to your order once it is confirmed.
In the unlikely event we accept order cancellation from the customer before the order is dispatched we will deduct a handling cost of 5% from your order value.
Refund Policy
If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return it within 14 days of the purchase date for an exchange or a full refund of the purchase price (online sales only, excludes sale items). Please review our full terms and conditions to ensure your return meets our policy.
Refunds will be processed within 7 days of receiving your returned item(s). You will receive an email confirmation once your refund has been processed.
